Best of 2016

As I reflect on this past year I am full with a heart of gratitude to all those I have met and worked with. This little community of creatives I have grown to know and collaborate with are all so talented and I feel honored to know them. As I looked through all the pictures of different weddings, styled shoots and projects from the year, I couldn't help but feel so lucky that I get to play with flowers every day. In 2017 I will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Floral Design. Now I know some might say, "You don't need a degree to be a florist!" And although this might be true I have felt more connected with the science and art of floral design while studying nature and it's beautiful constant growth. I want to thank all of you for following along on this little journey of mine. I hope that through my work you feel happy to live in such a beautiful world. I also want to thank my wonderful husband for his constant love and support, through all the ups and downs in this business.

I wish I could post all the pictures from the year but below are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Merry Little Everything

November + December bring me such joy in Eastern Idaho. Growing up in Northern California I never got a "winter" season. So when there is a chill in the air and snow on the ground I get really giddy! Right before Thanksgiving I was already listening to the Spotify Christmas Playlists and begging my husband to let me put up our tiny Christmas tree.

This bouquet was my chance to showcase my love for the holidays, pomegranates and all! And of course Inspire Me Film + Photo captured everything so beautifully! Thank you to @cassidyjensenrice for being our stunning model!

Cassidy + Ty Wedding Portland, OR

This summer I had the pleasure to be a part of the most beautiful wedding. This one was especially special because it happened to be for my lovely friend Cassidy and her sweet (now husband) Ty. I not only provided the florals for the event but I also got to be in the wedding as a bridesmaid! I love you Cass, thank you for trusting me with your special day!

This classy achromatic theme allowed playful textures to shine-- the marble, white tulips and the long scalloped veil, everything in perfect harmony. As you will see in the pictures below the entire event was nothing short of perfection, every detail better than the next.

In the Fields

This shoot has become one of my top favorites-- the scenery, the details, the dress! For this collaboration I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Kenzie Victory Photography in Provo, Utah. I knew from the beginning that her style and aesthetic would capture the florals perfectly. Below are a handful of my favorites from the shoot, don't forget to check out all of the amazing vendors at the end of the post!
